Our company will organize one-day tours to the Chernobyl zone of alienation in the Japanese language.
As it is known, only two catastrophes at nuclear stations in the world were qualified with the highest, seventh level of danger, these are the catastrophe which occurred in April 1986 at Chernobyl nuclear station, and the catastrophe at the nuclear station in Fukushima which occurred on March 11th, 2011. Chernobyl and Fukushima share this sad estimation because in both cases there was a fusion of the kernel of the reactor in the result which considerable quantity of radiation was emitted to the environment. As a result of both catastrophes on the nuclear power station, hundreds of thousands of people had to leave their houses. Also in both cases, there was serious environmental pollution, to eliminate which will not be possible for many years, despite all reasonable efforts.
A thousand kilometers and 25 years divide Chernobyl and Fukushima. We suggest visitors from Japan visiting the Chernobyl zone of alienation together with Yukari team and to receive valuable knowledge and explanations in the Japanese language, and also to see personally how the post-apocalyptic world will look like.

Super-confidential military base… Missiles with nuclear warhead… “The” red button…
It is unbelievable but the scale super-confidential strategic object has been transformed into…. a museum accessible for everyone. It is called “The Museum of strategic missile arms” and it is situated in the south of Ukraine, near the small town of Pervomaisk.
In the Soviet period, there was a base for the firing of intercontinental ballistic missiles capable to reach even the USA which was on guard of peace and happy life of the country.
Now, the former military men conduct excursions for tourists from different countries, and share memories of the times of “the cold war”.
When you examine rocket SS-18 “Satan” located on the territory of the museum, when you pass underground corridors, being on depth of 3 meters when you go down to the command center, and you try to imagine what young military men felt, each time ready to execute “the order”, only then you start to realize, what danger is posed… And till now continues to threaten mankind.
The museum of strategic missile arms is the only in Europe and in the countries of the former USSR museum on the territory of a really operating at the time of «the cold war» confidential base of missile arms.
For visitors interested in Ukrainian culture, ethnography, and architecture, we suggest visiting excursion in the Japanese language in the open-air museum in Pirogovo.
The museum occupies the area of 150 hectares, the main ethnographic zones of Ukraine are presented (there are six of them): Polesie, Naddneprovie, Slobozhanshchina, Carpathians, Podolia, and Tavriia. Except for houses, the museum exposition includes a unique collection of windmills, water-mills, smithies, churches, and a tavern. The ethnographic collection includes more than forty thousand objects, such as traditional clothes, painting, musical instruments, and souvenirs, products from stone, wood, glass, metal etc.
The majority of buildings in museum territory are real, that is, they are constructed by representatives of that epoch which they reflect. Huts from all regions of Ukraine were taken to pieces, marked, transported to Pirogovo and reproduced in the original form.
On the territory of Pirogovo, you can not only see unique exhibits but also try traditional Ukrainian dishes, such as a borsch, vareniki, kulesh prepared according to ancient recipes.
If you have got tired of a noisy city, grey houses, and crowds and wish to plunge into romanticism and old-time atmosphere, come to Sofievsky park situated in Uman.
It is said that love is capable of making miracles. National dendrology park “Sofievka” is the proof to it. “Sofievka” was created in the end of XVIIIth century by a Polish magnate count Stanislav Pototskii. The count was married to a Constantinople courtesan of Greek origin Sofia who was characterized by her contemporaries as a woman of exclusive beauty. Count Pototsky liked to indulge his beauty-wife and at some point, he decided to make a romantic gift on her birthday. In such a way, a dendrology park of fantastic beauty appeared in Uman named in honor of the wife of the count.
The park, the area of which makes 179,2 hectares, was constructed according to the plots of Homeric poems “Iliad” and “Odyssey”: here you can see both Kalypso grotto and the pavilion of Flora, statues of Hermes and Euripides, the valley of the Cyclops, the grottoes of Scylla and Venus, the terrace of Muses and even the river of the underground kingdom of Styx. Perhaps, the most well-known sight of the park is the fountain of “Dragon”. Surprisingly, but the 18-meter water column which flies up upwards from the mouth of a stone reptile is formed without use of pumps but at the expense of the pressure created by the difference in water levels in two lakes.
In Sofievka, there are also a lot of other entertainments, especially water rides on the fine lake. It is possible to take a ride on a catamaran, a boat, to rent a boat or to arrange elite walk on a gondola. Ride on a boat on the underground river Styx enjoys special popularity. For some minutes, the visitors plunge into the outer darkness shined only partially – to the place where wells from a vault are punched upward. Except for water rides, it is possible to have a ride on a stagecoach or in the carriage.
The guide perfectly knows not only Japanese, but also city history. During excursion we were told stories about old buildings which you do not usually notice in everyday life. It was very interesting.
Guide Yehgeniia has helped us a lot during the trip to Ukraine. Owing to conversations with her, we were able to deepen understanding of Ukraine and even Japan.
The guide who has a perfect command of Japanese, very interestingly and clearly explained about each corner of Kiev, told about features of architecture of buildings and epoch in which they were constructed. And when we were walking near the building which is called «Gingerbread small houses» for its colour, the guide visually explained what is “gingerbread” having presented us with these sweets.
